About Mile Tally
Mile Tally is a mileage tracker for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It records the trips you drive for work and produces IRS-ready CSV and PDF exports at tax time. Everything stays on your device. No account, no cloud, no analytics.
Why this exists
Most apps in this category ask you to sign in, then quietly upload every drive you take to a server they own. Their privacy policies usually say the right things — but the architecture says something different. If your route history sits on someone else's database, the policy is the only thing standing between that history and the next subpoena, breach, or pivot in business model.
Mile Tally takes the other approach: it is built so we cannot misuse your data, because we never have it. There is no server. There is no account. The route is discarded the moment a trip ends — only the summary the IRS asks for is kept, on your phone. Privacy by architecture, not policy.
The maker
Mile Tally is made by an independent developer. One person, no investors, no growth team.
