TL;DR

Mile Tally stores everything on your iPhone.

We collect nothing. We have no servers.

The app makes no network calls without your action.

What data the app handles

On the device

Mile Tally stores the following in a local SwiftData database on your iPhone: trip date and time, distance, category, purpose label, the IRS standard mileage rate at the time of the trip, and any notes you author. Trips you log manually live in the same database.

Permissions used

Data discarded immediately

Raw GPS coordinates are discarded the moment a trip ends — only the trip's total distance is saved. Motion samples are not retained. There is no map view in the app because there is no map data to show.

What data the app sends off the device

Nothing automatic.

What we don't do

Children's privacy

Mile Tally is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. Since the app collects no data, this is structurally true.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it, and the next app update will note the change in its release notes. There is no mailing list to add or remove yourself from — we don't have one.
